Local Bus Services

We operate a range of local bus services across Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, as part of the Central Connect network. Local bus route 19 connects Burrough Green and Linton with Haverhill, and local bus route 60, launching on 2nd September 2024, will link Braintree and Halstead with Sible Hedingham, Castle Hedingham and Sudbury.

We also operate Central Connect DaRT routes 3 and 299. DaRT flexible bus routes operate in north Essex, connecting a range of rural communities to local towns and facilitating access to employment, leisure, shopping and medical care.

Mount Hill, Halstead – Road Closure Affecting our 60 Services

Please see below the details of what is happening should Mount Hill be closed Monday Morning. This route will be unable to serve White Horse Avenue as the service will be diverted via Chapel Hill and Gosfield. We are working to manage these disruptions and minimise the impact on our passengers.
The diversion will be in place from 23/03/2026 to 27/04/2026 due to gas works at Mount Hill.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while these works take place.

TRAVELLING WITH CENTRAL CONNECT DaRT:
  • Please be in good time for your pick-up. You may be picked up between 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after your pick up time. If the bus has not arrived by 15 minutes after your pick up time, please telephone the DaRT booking centre for support.
  • The majority of DaRT journeys will be operated using 8 or 16 seat minibuses, branded with the Central Connect DaRT logo. However, from time to time larger buses or taxis may be used. If you are unsure, please ask the driver. There will usually be signage in the window of any vehicle used on a DaRT service to indicate that it is operating a DaRT service.
  • We offer wheelchair accessible transport as part of DaRT, and also have space available for pushchairs, shopping trolleys and bicycles. You must advise when you book your journey if you need a wheelchair or pushchair accessible vehicle so we can ensure that an accessible vehicle is allocated to your journey.
  • Please report lost property to us by email on office@flagfinders.co.uk and we will be happy to check which bus you travelled on, and try and reunite you with your lost item(s). We will arrange for you to collect lost property from an appropriate bus or one of our depots.
